Rick is a veteran of several of South Florida's top retro-rock combos, including Rickie & The Rocketships, The White Owls, and The Dillengers. He thinks Ringo is dreamy.

Daryl Tomas

Born and raised in Kalamazoo, Michigan to a musical family, Daryl began playing guitar at the age of eight. By the age of 15 he was playing with a local rock band. Daryl relocated to South Florida where he has been a mainstay in the South Florida music scene ever since.

He has performed, recorded, and toured with local and national artists from the US and Mexico. He appeared in the movie “The Boynton Beach Club” and has served in the music ministries of many local churches.

When he’s not onstage with Across The Universe, he spends his time freelancing with other musical projects as well as teaching guitar, bass, and ukulele to a large roster of students ranging in age from 7 to 70.

Peter Maerz

Born in Queens, New York to two classical musicians, Peter was playing the family piano and Hammond organ before his feet touched the floor. He joined his first band at age 13, and by 16 years of age was playing regularly with a surf rock band called The Wipeouts. At 17, he led a jazz combo, hauling the family organ in a U-Haul each weekend to a steady gig at the Easthampton Coach restaurant/lounge.

After attending Boston’s Berklee College of Music as a piano major, Peter moved to California’s Bay Area, where he took up the drums with master teacher Chuck Brown. A move to Florida found him co-leading and playing drums with the popular nightclub band KIKS and then in a long run as leader, drummer, percussionist, keyboardist and vocalist with the band CLIK!
